Tournament Results - Fall Warmup
Thirty-nine students participated in this year's Fall Warm Up. Praneeth Ramesh won the Championship section with a perfect 4.0-0.0 score. In second place was James Strommer with a 3.0-1.0 score. In third place was Kevin Xiao with a 2.5-1.5 score. Pickering Valley won the team competition with a score of 6.5. In the K-12 U900 section, first place was won by David Huang with a 3.5-0.5 tally. Second through fourth, with a 3.0-1.0 score were Justin Mangan, Khushi Parikh, and Adam Serota. The team competition was won by the hosts, Mother of Divine Providence, with a score of 6.5. In the K-6 U500 section, there was a massive tie for 1st through fifth place with Anthony Cianfrani, Lucas Schlesinger, Casey Krouse, Max Serota, and Jacob Groch all scoring 3 wins and a loss. Friends Central was the top scoring team with 10 points. In the unrated section, Eric Chan went undefeated with a score of 4.0-0.0. Tying for second and third place with a 2.5-1.5 score were Seth Orloff and Colman Closser.
The next major Philadelphia-area tournament is the Halloween Gambit on (of course) October 31 at Wayne Elementary School. Costumes encouraged!
